In ESL French class for Newcomers, students demonstrated their knowledge of clothing items in the form of a Fashion Show.
It was a wonderful experience and fun to show our colorful and different clothing. Our class is very multicultural because we have students from Syria, Iraq, the Philippines, Japan, Spain and Mexico. It is so nice to be in one class and share our traditions.
Our teacher organized the activity so that we can show her we understand the colours and clothing in another form instead of a “boring” test. Paula Gayosa (Spain) showed Kaede Tagawa (Japan) how to dance to a Spanish dance, while Jwil Malak, Ashouril Youkhanna and myself, all from Syria had the class join in with us while we taught them a traditional Assyrian dance.
It was one of our favourite classes and we laughed a lot!
