Arnold Schwarzenegger told us he’d be back. He kept his promise.
Terminator: Dark Fate came out on November 1st, 2019 and has a running time of 2 hours and 15 minutes. It was a pretty good length, any longer and it would have been too long.
Although Terminator: Dark Fate is the latest movie in the series, it actually takes place after the second movie, Terminator 2: Judgment Day. It ends that chapter of the series perfectly and manages to tie up any loose ends.
Director Tim Miller, puts a modern twist on an old classic. He uses modern equipment and applied modern effects to the film.
This movie brought in some new and original characters. It introduces Mackenzie Davis, Gabriel Luna, and Natalia Reyes. The storyline continues, but it focuses more on the newer characters, although it includes the original main characters including Linda Hamilton’s Sarah Connor.
Welcome to the Day after Judgment Day
The people in charge of special effects outdid themselves. It was almost scary realistic at times. The terminators in the movie looked very life-like, they were very authentic.
To best appreciate the film, watch the first 2 movies: The Terminator and Terminator 2: Judgment Day, before seeing Terminator: Dark Fate to truly understand the storyline of the movie.
I give this movie a 7 as a standalone movie, but is about a 6 as a continuation of the series. The first and last parts were action-packed and had a ton of drama, but the middle part got kind of boring with a line of humor here and there. Terminator: Dark Fate is currently playing in theaters near you.
